Transport Properties in Polymeric Materials

(1) Apply positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) to characterize the free volume properties and correlate the results with permeation properties in polymeric membranes. (2) Evaluate the permeation properties of drugs through various polyelectrolyte membranes.


Membrane Preparation and Modification

(1) Study and improve the barrier properties of bio-based polymers. (2) Develop and characterize the membranes for CO2 recovery from flue gases.


Polymeric Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering

(1) Develop biodegradable polymer materials for controlled drug release. (2) Apply the technique of electrospinning to fabricate biomaterials to induce the growth or proliferation of cells for tissue engineering.
