Development and synthesis of novel high performance polymers and functional through molecular design, organic synthesis, and polymer chemistry. Some special topics are low-k materials, halogen-free flame-retardant polymers, hyperbranched polymers, and high temperature polymers.

Membrane Modification

Modification on inorganic/organic films and membrane by means of chemical reaction, plasma process, and ozone treatment. Some application, fuel cells, and membrane filtration.


Design, preparation, and modification of organic and inorganic nano-materials, including silica nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes.
